Hey, all, sorry I was out so long! Lots of life, and then more life.
Good news for 2025:
I signed my first contract for a book! Mending Shattered Dreams will be published in 2026 by Sunbury Press. I’m over the moon!
Work continues to be challenging and exciting. I adore editing, and each new book I work on teaches me things about editing, and also about the world! I love helping authors make their book the best we can.
I took on some in-person sales responsibilities and also began working on some more social media stuff. Sales and marketing are an area where publishing and authors could definitely use some new ideas. We’ll see how life continues!
2026 so far:
BAD case of influenza for three of us, including the Constant Husband. We were so sick, for so long, that many things came to a screeching halt—and we’re just picking up all the threads now. Don’t catch it, if you can help it, although most people I’ve talked to had a much shorter case of it.
I’ll be working behind the scenes to get my book Mending Shattered Dreams out there. It’s a memoir of 30 years in our lives, from the time our lovely, social, NORMAL little boy was lost to profound autism, then intractable epilepsy. My hope is that it will help other parents, teachers, caregivers, families, etc.
I have a number of writing projects going, including an exciting new idea.
I’m also going to be attending a number of events this year—first was Marscon in January, look for photos and a post about that. I’m also quite active in the writing community online (mostly on Discord) as I’m a huge fan-girl and just love talking to people involved in all aspects of writing.
Otherwise, all seems to be going well. Here’s a pic of my dog, just for fun.
